Check before you buy Bulk materials are sold by the ton in some yards and by the cubic yard in others, and the two do not convert without the density below. Confirm which unit your supplier quotes, and confirm compacted against loose depth — millings and crushed stone lose roughly 15–20% of loose volume once rolled.
