  • Front, side, and rear yard placement
  • Distance from property lines
  • Separation from other structures

“No building permit required” does not mean “put it anywhere.”

Denver provides the strongest official example in the supplied material. In Denver only, a one-story, detached, non-conditioned accessory structure used as a tool shed, storage shed, playhouse, or similar use may avoid a building permit when it has no more than 200 square feet of projected roof area, an eight-foot top plate, and a fourteen-foot maximum height, provided all stated conditions are met.
